Trevin's Habanero Sauce

A blended, papaya-based habanero hot sauce with lime, mustard, and carrot. Cooked low and slow.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 white onion
  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 ripe papaya
  • 16 habanero peppers whole
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 6 baby carrots
  • 2 tbsp Chinese hot mustard powder

Method
 

  1. Puree all the ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Cook over low heat for 45 minutes, stirring often. Taste and adjust as you go.
